Kawasaki GT550:
... a year and change my pads every two years- this is because i use forward planning and engine braking!. Air assisted shock and forks are probably good when they were new, but both of mine loose air during the day - althought this doesnt affect the riding too much. Kawasaki , i think dont like to use oil on any threads , so all the nuts and bolts will seize. When you try to remove something your always thinking ... Kawasaki GT750 ... have owned my 1990 G reg Kawasaki for nearly two years.I bought it off a guy who couldnt ride it anymore due to serious knee operations!.The bike has 7 previous owners and its at a genuine 25,000miles and nearly all previous Mot s came with it.Apparantly the owners before him where motorcycle examiners, who just rode it to the test centre and then used the DSA bikes. But even though my Gt has had a quite peaceful life, it was still subject to a bit of butchery and neglect. The front right calipier was completely siezed, and the lefthand was starting to gum up too!!.So i stripped and rebuilt the calipiers- but i still have problems as someone has crossthreaded the blead ni... Kawasaki GPZ500S ... ve had my 1998 GPZ for five and a half years, and have found it to be an excellent all-round bike. It is my daily transport, so has to be 100% reliable to get me to and from work, which (touch wood) so far it has been. The bike is a good commuter, and is comparatively low and manageable - it s often described as an ideal ladies bike, indeed the previous owner was my sister in law , who bought it new, but then emigrated. Being somewhat vertically challenged, I find it ideal. It s also reasonably rapid, having a definite power band , taking on a greater sense of urgency once the revs rise above 6500-7000 rpm, although obviously these things are relative- it s never goin... Kawasaki GPZ500S ... :GPZ 500S Year: 1996 (R) Colour: Black & Grey Mileage 16,500 INTRODUCTION: I passed my test recently - March 04 & couldn?t wait to get a bike. Believe me - when you have just passed your test, any bike over 125cc is appealing! I travelled miles one weekend armed with just over £1250 & ended up at the garage I first started at & purchased a GPZ500S. Cash limitations were obviously a big restriction for the type & age of bike I could purchase. I collected the bike a few days later as happy as Larry ? the bik...
