I bought this motocross bike a long time ago when I was 13 and still have it to this date, i just cannot bear to part with it. I think i may eventually get myself a 125/ or 250cc version though so i essentially have the same thing :)
At first i bought this bike second hand for around £1100, almost a too good to be true price back then as it was only a 2 year old bike, we then started to have the problems. The bike always seemed to just cut out the spark plugs were too oily and fouling. After a massive amount of money being spent on spark plugs we eventually decided that we should take it to a garage to seek professional help. Eventually it turned out that all it was is that if you don't ride hard enough the bike's plug fouls and you have to use different plugs and for those who aren't racing shouldn't really be using the plugs that we were chucking in.
Performance. The performance on this bike cannnot really be used in comparison to anything, no other 85cc bike in its class can rival it. It can often keep up with the 125's and with the right rider easily has the possibility to beat them. Also it's light nimble build makes it easy to throw around especially when going over the jumps.
Robust? As anyone else who rides motocross I'm sure will tell you everyone comes off at some point and in my time with this bike I've spent a lot of time on my back side and quite frankly from looking at the bike you wouldn't tell. After all the harshness it has received the only real damage is a small little ding on the bike's expansion chamber.
The #1 choice of bike to get if you're looking for a motocross bike in this class.
