Advantages: Unusual. And it's a Ducati.

Disadvantages: Ugly. Old.

Essentially the same 600cc desmo engine as used by the later 600SS and Monsters, fitted into one of Ducati's earlier s/s trellis frames.

The TL was the touring version of the Pantah, by virtue of a Kawasaki-esque bikini faring. It's not the prettiest of the late-vintage Ducs, but can be bought cheaply (£800 - £1500).

Be warned, if you have a small left-hand, as the clutch is not hydraulically assisted, and therefore EXTREMELY stiff.

This is a real Ducatisti's bike, and is widely regarded as the ugliest examples - with the exception of the Indiana (the nasty chopper.

But for it's vintage, the TL600 handles and goes very well, and is surprisingly easy to live with - provided that you're not tool-shy.
