Other Kawasaki...Newest Review: ... bike category. It uses the ER6 engine in a larger trailie stlyled frame so if you are under 5'7" tall be careful. It has long travel suspension and the engine is tuned to mid range in the useful 40 to 75 mph range. I will do up to 115 mph where the law allows you to do so, but this is no sports bike. The tank will see you do 200 miles between refills and in these days of inflationary petrol costs thats no bad thing. Styling is something you'll love or hate - I love it - it sort of grows on you and I like the ruffty tuffty trailie image anyway. But this is no dirt bike, rather it uses the trailie components (frame and suspension)... more More Kawasaki motorcycles

Here is the Kawasaki Versys a relatively new offering from those Kawaski people. Its a 650cc water cooled twin cylinder which can be slotted into the 'all rounder' bike category. I used to own a Y reg imported Z750LTD PROS -------- When these are looked after they are a beautiful looking bike. Dead comfy to sit on, very low and an extremely comfortable riding position. You can play the ‘easy rider’ convincingly! Nice cruising bike – I could sit at 55 (spot the US import) on the motorway very comfortably. Nice firm gear box. No false neutrals or ambiguity as to whether it’s in gear. CONS -------- Extremely heavy with uncomfortably low centre of gravity. Behaves very strangely round bends. Even when taking it very gently the bike had a tendency to ‘fall into’ them ... Read the complete review

arent kx60's the most fun you can have on 2 wheels I mean when kawasaki decided to make a little bike they seemed to get the formula just right . I have some fond memories of them , the first time I tried a small bike like this I wasn't told that there was no 2nd gear and I had to change up twice , so I was going into 2nd and it wouldn't change so I decided stupidly to change back down resulting in me going head over heels into a big pile of stinking mud . I must say that the kx60 is one of the best junior bikes going and could easily stay with an 80 or possibly a 100 . These nippy little bikes seem too powerful for the age group they are intended for but I'm not ... Read the complete review

I've read all the reviews about GPZ305's being poor, knocking their camshaft out at about 12000 miles. I've had mine 5 years and had no trouble with it up to now. The only things I've done are the normal maintenance, new tyres, exhaust, oil and filters etc. I bought it as my first bike after taking my test, and found it very easy to ride. It handles a lot like the 125s' you take your test on, only more powerful. It's very economical, 70 MPG is easy to achieve, more if you are out for a leisurely ride. Although it is only 305cc it is quite lively, due to its relatively light weight, and is great for getting through the traffic or ... Read the complete review
