Advantages: Low running cost around £5 for a tanks of fuel to do 120 miles

Disadvantages: speed restricions of 31 mph

 So your sixteen
 You want a run about
 You like bikes and want a starting point
 What do you choose.

I am 17 in March and I am saving to get a scooter which I will as soon as possible. I travel to college on a bus everyday and it takes perhaps 45 min if I am very lucky and get a connection because I have to change at the local bus station on average it takes 1 hr which I think is a downside about my college. Are you in a similar position?

If you are why not consider a scooter most people want to get a car at 17 but why not wait that little bit longer so the ridiculous car insurance prices go down when you get older. That’s what I am doing I can get scooter insurance for around £200 when I am 17 for fully comp and although the scooter wont go really fast think of the whizzing through traffic. Where I live we have a lot of traffic in the morning which delays us even worse and it drives me mad seeing all the bikes and scooter whiz straight down the middle.

The Katana 50cc by Suzuki I would acknowledge as one of the best scooters round which is affordable. At £1500 I think it is a bargain and you can half that if you buy one second hand. They are nippy reliable and low cost to run a tank of fuel will cost you just over £5 and on one tank it will go approx. 120 miles I know this for a fact because a friend has one. The Katana has lovely twin spot lights it has monoshock suspension and inverted showa sport shocks. Check out the Suzuki site @ www.suzuki.co.uk The Katana also comes with twin disc brakes and alloy wheels.

Ride one today on a full car licence or take a cbt costing around £60 and be up and running in one day guaranteed any problems feel free to leave a comment thanks.
