Advantages: Sparky performance and looks, lots of storage space and very practical and easy to use
Disadvantages: terrible performance when restricted, rust on some fittings
Great little scooter - however, in common with most scooters in the UK, it's been restricted to 30mph by restricting the exhaust. This would be OK, but it also kills the low-end torque, so pulling off stop signs etc. can be hair-raising in traffic, as it doesn't pull away as fast as it needs to, and can leave you in some dangerous situations ! Derestricting it turns it into a different beast altogether. It's great in traffic, but I wouldn't want to ride it over long mileages. It's nippy once derestricted, and great fun to ride. Problems : rust on metal fittings, inc. fuel cap, and more particularly the brake levers, which can affect your brake lights and the electric starter. If you derestrict it, you may need a harder spark plug, and for some reason the engine temperature gauge cable has a tendency to become unclipped when you turn the handlebars. Good points : Loads of room under the seat - fits a bagful of shopping, or a full face helmet and kit. Really easy to use - twist and go, and sparky performance. Quite stylish as scooters go - supremely practical and easy to use, but don't pretend it's a real bike. A short-distance commuter's dream.
