how to derestrict a yamaha aerox (Other Yamaha...)
Member Name: dougalise
Advantages: very fat de-restircted, very reliable, great looks Disadvantages: very very very slow restricted, the light are a bit poor
I bought my yamaha aerox a few months ago it is now the 28 feb 2004 it is the black and silver virgin mobile race replca .i bought it second hand as it is so much cheaper a brand new one will cost up to £2200 but i bought mine second hand for £1100 so it is half the price .when i first had a go on it i couldnt belive how slow it was because my m8 had a pegout speedfight 2 was still quite good aceleration even thought his was resricted still.i took of the exhaust and at the end where it ataches to the engine there was a huge cone like restricter which was welded in luckly my dad had the tools to remove this cone .after i had the cone taken out i crimped the resonater pipe i then put the exhaust back on i started it up and it was a lot louder i took it up the road quickly and could not belive how good the accelration was i was very surprised the acceleration had at least trippled and so did the power .after doing that it will go about 45mph but if you take the washer out of the varible resister it willl do around 55mph which is plenty for a moped .i was going to buy a aprilia sr50 but my dad insisted that i got a japenese bike this was due to there great reliabilty and design.i have raced my m8 and he has got a pegout speedfight 2 and mine flys past his on top speeed and aceleration .i would relally recommend this bike to everbody Summary: |
