Advantages: reliable, parts easy to find, strong

Disadvantages: colour, exspensive parts

A yamaha ty250 pinky is my current bike it is a 1993 model it is mono shock and has a front disk brake i love it, it pulls wheelies in 5 out of 6 gears it had and will clime up any thing. Parts are very easy to find, the yamaha trials bikes are heavyer than a lot of competitors, my bike ways about 87kg, but they are a lot stronger and a lot more reliable.
Parts are easy to find but there not cheap i snaped a rear mud guard it cost £30.50 from stevens trials near branshatch, i needed a new clutch lever it cost me £9. To keep the gear box running well you need to use good quality oil and change the oil every 12-15 hours use.
when pulling away the best gears to use are 4th and 5th, 1st gear goes about walking speed, the top speed of the bike is 50-60Mph.
The size of the petrpl tank is 3.5 litres and will last 3 to 4 houres which is good for a trials bikes as most newer models have tiny tanks that need refilling every 45minutes.
With the petrol you need to mix some fully semthetic 2-stroke oil, my book on the bike says 100ml to every gallon(4.5l) but i use about 125ml.
Great learner trials bike with lots of power.
