replaced the engine the other week for a customer. he said it was maxxing out at ten. upon examination of the old engine, he had over filled the oil, and it had leaked into the transmission case and onto the belt... what have we learnt? not to over fill skippers >.< it is a typical cheap scooter, built for the soul purpose of getting from A to B. the plastics are cheap and all held together by eachother, which makes it a pain to remove. despite those problems it is actually a good 4 stroke moped. brilliant pickup, once the carb is sorted, and good top speed. the only thing i dont like is that it has the tiniest air box in the world, with a huge intake ... I absolutely love my Skipper when it is going, i find it easy to ride, i think it looks nice and even had a thumbs up by a kid that saw me on it he said "nice bike". it has loads of storage which is a big plus for me,although the underseat is not quite big enough for my helmet, it will fit in the backbox and the backbox comes as standard. But beware it is cheaply made to the extreme, i bought the warranty (thank goodness) and it has probably been in the garage about 6 times in the 18 months that i have had it. The clock on it is as useful as a chocolate teapot, i have had it replaced about 3 times and now it has gone wrong again i wont bother ... Read the complete review

Smart looking bike Cheap 4 stroke Does 60 mph Nice ride Plastic body is held to together with fixings that are rubbish The exhaust get rustier than the titanic and fast, then costs £140 Good for commuting as it goes well and has good protection Something was never quite right with the engine, difficult to put finger on. After three years (end of warranty) the reliability got so bad I had to change it. Owned for 3 and a half years approx 17000 miles.
