Piaggio X9:
... am another lady rider, I upgraded from a 50cc after a year of riding to the the X9. I ve owned two - one from new and the other second hand. They have a lovely character to them and make you feel big and road worthy but they do have a few niggles. I put the niggles down to the bikes being made in Italy for italian weather and being ridden and kept in the UK in UK weather. They included in my own experience... ... Piaggio B125 ... have bought used Piaggio B125 Scooter and have been riding it for a couple of days so far. I really like it and there is much to like it: sturdy feel, very comfortable sitting and suspension, a lot of room for your knees if you have got long legs like myself. Riding is smooth and a pleasure. I have got it with top box and side panniers already fitted so I have plenty of storage. I share the mentioned cold start problem though if I do not give it a couple of minutes before going to the first junction I get myself into trouble. The downside of side-panniers is that having them fitted makes it hard to put the bike onto its stand. The bike is heavy and in my opinion esp... Piaggio Vespa PX125 ... s something oh so irresistible about Vespas. If it s either its Retro design, or the nostalgia factor from having one when you were a teen, the Vespa is a classic. And we love it. I got my Vespa PX last year after a 12 year love affair with them, admittedly not knowing anything about them bar they were cosmetically pretty, I had a mild panic attack when having to face its gears and clutch. Within the first weekend of owning my Vespa I d stalled it about 100 times, fallen off it, popped an accidental wheelie, almost ran my Dad over.. twice and been given the two finger salute by a very angry looking Lady in a people carrier. Although I believe she was just jealous... Read the full review: Vespa PX125 by Cinny91 |

Piaggio Vespa ET4 ... had it for a few days, having originally rented scooters in thailand, and decided to take the plunge in central london. a lot more stressful. it s pretty smooth in terms of the engine and does get you away quicker than the cars at the lights. but there are a few negatives: - the indicators are silent and do not turn off automatically. Piaggio should be crucified for this as it is VERY easy to forget the indicators are on, and hence very easy for a car to pull out (potentially fatally) in front of you, thinking you re gonna turn. - the wing mirrors are pathetically small and too narrow for me to see beyond my shoulders. they should also be further forward to get...
