Advantages: cheap to run, reliable

Disadvantages: are there any?

This was the first moped i had, and aquired it from my dad at the age of 12 as a project. I rebuilt the engine with my dad, and it never went wrong after that! for £150 i had my first moped.

I learnt to ride on it, and it was very easy, very responsive on the throttle, but not too snappy (which was good) very smooth transition throughout the rev range, and corners very well, as the handlebars and seat both sit quite low in comparison to other mopeds. The top speed derestricted (with a stock engine) is around an indicated 45mph, which is around 35 to 45 real speed depending on the state of the speedo and speedo drive, as this can deteriate over time.

The engine is a Minarelli a/c Engine, which in my opinion is a very reliable motor. In the whole time i owned my AP50 i never once had to put oil in it (it always had oil in it) and the rollers didnt wear down as much as the ones in my SR50!

The plastics (despite looking cheap) disguise the real potential of this bike, and add to the enjoyment of it.

overall 10 out of 10, i cannot find a fault with it, highly reccomended

Strange it didn't use oil, isn't it a 2-stroke?
