This bike is big heavy looks quite sporty and a little dated. Mine is a 1991 model so is 15 years old and looks slightly worse for wear.

It is extremely reliable, in 10,000 miles since I bought it I have only had to perform minimal routine maintenance. (replace tyres etc.)

Its performance took me by surprise when I bought it it has around 100 bhp listed to speed is 142 Mph and 0 to 60 takes a few seconds (not sure of an exact figure but about 4 elephants if you know what I mean) it is a joy to ride in the dry but a little edgy in the wet, the wheels wander over white lines etc. on greasy or wet roads.

The best thing about the performance is it is not too harsh in its delivery of the power, you can accelerate as fast as you can without having to struggle to keep the front wheel down constantly. This is the first proper motorbike I have owned and would recommend it to anyone starting off as a first big bike. It is still very easy to get caught out, as it is with any motorbike but I find it very forgiving and have yet to fall off it whilst moving.

The Mirrors could be a lot better, unfortunately I have narrow access to my garden where the bike is kept so have to fold the mirrors in every time I put the bike away. This has led to them becoming virtually unusable as I constantly have to readjust them, they have worked loose and no longer stay where they are put.

I am trading up this summer for a newer and sportier bike but I cannot bring myself to part with this one so I am keeping it for winter use.

Summary: My best bike so far.

Couldn't quite make my mind up there. One paragraph said how reliable it was and cheap to run and then that you were getting rid of it.
