This is my first bike too, and it has drawn admiration from the day it was delivered. A bike you can really love because it has a strong character. Heavy and loud enough to make learning your roadcraft fun. On the downside, I'm practising for my practical test, and when it comes to uturns, the long wheelbase and feet forward cruising position is not ideal for a novice, so you may find it better to take your test on a commuter style 125. Easy to love, easy to maintain, and good practise for getting you used to riding a meatier bike when you do upgrade. I remember obtaining my CBT certificate and looking around the showroom to see what was available from the collection of 125s they had. I didn't want a little skinny run-of-the-mill 125 like you usually expect to see trundling around with L plates. Knowing it was going to be a good while before I obtained my full license, I wanted a bike that looked far bigger than a 125 and the Intruder certainly fitted the bill. The silver model in the showroom simply looked stunning and the salesman had to double check that it actually was a 125. The bike itself is long, wide, low and quite weighty.
