I was not in the market for a new bike when I first came across the Triumph Daytona 955i. It took me good day to head back to the bike shop and go for a test ride. Sold. It was a mint 02 plate with 4000 miles on the clock. I was not out long for the test, but the quality of the ride was great. I wanted a bike that would be more comfortable than my GSXR 600 SRAD and have more mid range. The engine is a peach, oodles of torque from the off. The revs build quickly with a broad range of power. It is a three cylinder, gives you the tyre shredding torque similar to a v-twin, while being able to rev and deliver horsepower like a four cylinder. The sound is awseome, fit ... I bought a high mileage (25k) 04 955 a few weeks back. I was looking for something with character/personality rather than bland out and out performance easily obtained from a Suzy or Yam etc. Wanted a duke 748 but something that didn't fall apart everytime you pressed the start button! I soon learned what a brilliant choice I had made. 25k miles is nothing to the big Brit and it just oozes character without compromising performance and what a sound not even a Scorpion kitted thou can match. Turn heads? You bet it does. Grin?, you bet I do. But only 2.5k from rear tyre - ... Read the complete review

i owned my first daytona 955i in 2000,i loved the sound, handling and the way it preformed, the problem was i thought the grass was greener on the other side,i sold it to buy a 2001 yamaha r1,the only thing it gained over my triumph was top speed, around the twisties i rode my triumph faster,i kept the r1 for 6 months then it had to go,then i tried a suzuki bandit 1200,this just could not preform in any way shape or form,i had this for 12 months for comuting,i give the r1 6/10 the bandit 5/10 and my all time love 9.5/10,i have just aranged to buy another 955i 2000 with only 3000 miles on the clock and in show room condition,i pick it up this week 23/5/06,caint wait, ive ... Finally, some brash British Steel! - Advantages: Handling, Acceleration, Style - Disadvantages: Rear brake, Exhaust note, Resale value

This is a very fast bike and as great acceleration, the bike looks very good and turns heads were every you ride it. This bike as well as been one of the best in the world it is one thousand pounds cheaper than any of the japanese models. The bike as great a handling technic, top speeds of over 145mph and is great at taking corners. This is a british bike and is still at top of the tree in my opionion, so I plead to the bikers of the uk that buy british to keep our history and last bike company from going under. Top Machine ...
