I bought a high mileage (25k) 04 955 a few weeks back. I was looking for something with character/personality rather than bland out and out performance easily obtained from a Suzy or Yam etc. Wanted a duke 748 but something that didn't fall apart everytime you pressed the start button! I soon learned what a brilliant choice I had made. 25k miles is nothing to the big Brit and it just oozes character without compromising performance and what a sound not even a Scorpion kitted thou can match. Turn heads? You bet it does. Grin?, you bet I do. But only 2.5k from rear tyre - ouch!
