I bought this scooter 2 weeks ago today. What a blast. I looked at scooters on line for over 6 months. I had come down to basically 2 models the kymco People 250, and the Vespa GT200. In the end I went with the Vespa.
Reasons I chose the Vespa were a few. I much prefered the retro look, the reputation, and the seat. I sat on both I am 6'3" tall and on the people because of the stepped seat I could not slide far enough back. I felt close to the steering.
I have 692 miles on this scooter in 2 weeks so I am really enjoying it. I take it out daily to work and back, and also for nice long rides of at least an hour. It handles very good, the automatic works well, and the dual disk brakes will bring it to a stop in a hurry.
I ahve had the bike up to 75 mph, and cruise at a constent 55-60. At that speed the bike rides very well and is comfortable. It takes turns with ease, and does well on main and back roads.
I am very happy with this scooter, and look foward to many years of riding, Beale.

Summary: The ability to drive highway speeds, and stopping ability.
