This has got to be one of the best chick flicks of all time, with a fairly predictable story line (based on Shakespeare's taming of the shrew) it still manages to serve up its share of great moments.

The characters are all very easy to get involved with and Heath Ledger is just stunningly gorgeous and plays the role of the typical bad boy very well.

A basic outline of the story: There is 2 sisters who's dad wont let them date, one being popular and upset by this and the other sister who is older and a grungy outsider and who doesn't want to date and intimidates most boys anyway. The dad decides he will let the younger sister date if the older one dates, thinking it is quite a safe bet, however one of the younger sisters admires comes up with a plan to pay the bad boy of the school to date the older sister and the story unfolds from there.

As the film goes on quite predictably the characters have many fall outs and many new experiences before ending up, as they should, in love. The ending always makes me cry without fail.

I don't know anyone who as watched this and hasn't thought it was brilliant. This is a film that every girl will love and every man will pretend to hate. I have been known to watch it twice in one day.

The soundtrack is amazing too and you will be singing the songs long after you have turned off the DVD. I had to buy the CD soundtrack because a couple of the songs are brilliant.

I strongly recommend you watch this once and once you have you will want to see it again and again.
