... is an average action film that I have seen a couple of times. Jet Li stars as Han Sing, a cop out to find the person who murdered his brother. In pursuit of the perpetrator he finds himself drawn to a mysterious woman whose father is involved deeper than he would like to think in the death of his brother. OK, this is an interesting film in that it combines some martial arts stuff with out and out action. For example, there s a mix of well choreographed one on one fight scenes, as well as high octane vehicle chases. Think of it as Fast and Furious meets Bruce Lee, and you re half-way there. ... s not really too hard to work out whether or not you re going to like this film; it s a foreign martial arts movie about two warriors in search of a stolen sword. It combines mystical martial arts with special effects! I really like this film. It came out over a period where there were lots of similar films, a period where martial arts met special effects, and really there is nothing wrong with this example. Visually it s stunning, with the setting and backdrops providing some interesting vistas. ... is the film that made Superheroes cool for me; I love it! It follows a group of X Men, evolved humans with various super-powers, as they battle the evil Magneto and those normal humans set against them. Basically it s a superhero battle film set in modern day, and it s super! First up, I suppose this is really a film that will appeal to boys, or at least those who love action and violence. There are a lot of set action pieces in the film, and a fair few rippling muscle bound fight scenes.
