Overall this is a brilliant, charming and enchanting Disney film.

I'm a huge Disney fan and if you've read any of my other reviews you're probably realising that by now. I've made it my mission to collect all of the Disney classics and 101 Dalmatians is the 17th Disney classic. I absolutely adored this film as a child and now at 19 nothing's changed, I never get bored of watching it and it has to be one of my favourite Disney films.

If you've never had the pleasure of watching this film or don't know the story I'll give you the basic jist: Pongo and Pedita are two Dalmatians belonging to husband and wife Roger and Anita. The two dogs fall in love and have a brood of 15 puppies, all with their own personalities and loveable traits such as Rolly, a fat and greedy puppy. The puppies are then stolen by the villain Cruella De Vil as she wants to make a fur coat out of them. Pongo and Pedita set out on an adventure aided by many friends along the way to rescue their puppies (and several more) and bring them back home).

This film has a fantastic and varied mixture of comedy, action and suspense and children and adults of all ages will love it. The animation is clever and the cartoon graphics are sharp and come to live on screen.
The film is rated as a U so is suitable for children of any age, however there are some parts which I found scary as a child so bare this in mind. The running time of the film is 76 minutes so kids won't get too fidgety watching it.

There's also loads of bonus material available with the platinum edition including virtual games and history of the animation and music of the film.

Overall this is a brilliant, charming and enchanting Disney film which will make you want your own Dalmatian.
