It took me quite a while before I decided that I was going to go and see this movie. After the huge success of High School Musical, I thought that after something that good, how much better could Zac Efron get. As it turns out, much better, I am so glad that I did eventually decide to go and see 17 Again, and the pairing of this young actor, with a much experienced one in the form of Friends star Mathew Perry was genius. The thing that I loved about this movie was the so silly, yet amazing story. It reminded me a little of 13 Going On 30, but only in reverse. It is about Mike (played by Perry), who, now a middle aged man with kids, looks at his life and wonders how different it would have been if he had chosen to follow a different path all those years ago in high school. This is where the magic happens, as he is transformed back into his 17 year self, however in the current time. He goes back to school, the school that both his kids attend, and try to figure out if his life is worth changing or if he has what he has always wanted. Summary: Family film |
