20 Million Miles to Earth.
================
Definitely a 'B' movie this one, read on and you'll see why.
We have been to Venus in our spaceship and taken samples from the planet but upon returning the ship has problems reentering Earths atmosphere and crashes into the Mediterranean Sea.
There is only one survivor, Colonel Calder' who is rescued from the sea and taken by his Savior to their small fishing village. also recovered from the ship is a small Venusian creature which does not stay small for long.
In our atmosphere it grows to gargantuan proportions and sets off across the countryside destroying everything. soon even Rome is under threat. The ending is predictable especially when the military gets involved.
Opinion:
======
A wonderfully quaint film.
The animation was done by the famed Harry hausen and is its only saving grace.
The film itself really is a poor film, the writing, the dialog the plot all ponders along waiting for someone to bring it all to an end.
The actors all look bemused and clearly they did not understand the plot either.
Extras include,
This Is Dynamation Featurette,
cartoony theme showing how some of the animation was achieved.
The Harryhausen Chronicles,
Giving an incite to his career and other more notable films.
Not worth bothering with to be honest.
Summary: Give it a wide berth, not worth your time.
