I liked it. I didn't love it. I'm not going to go into the story for obvious reasons, I mean I don't want to ruin it for you. The visuals are sublime and so are the sound effects, you can really tell a lot of time was spent making the film. I have to say the acting is pretty good (though I'm not a fan of John Cusack) although I didn't find the characters particularly interesting or lovable.

Despite this, it isn't all about the visuals as many others have said. There is a solid story to follow and there are a couple of unexpected plot twists which really kept me entertained and focused when watching the film. There are also a couple of funny bits put in so this film could entertain any viewer regardless of age.

So would I watch it again? Yes. Worth having on DVD/Blu-ray. Personally I didn't like the cast so that sort of spoiled the movie for me but if you like the cast then you'll love 2012.
