don't understand the bad reviews that this movie received. Yes, some of the "action" scenes were very bloody but that's why it's rated for an adult audience. There were moments when the movie seemed to lose its way and drag a little, but maybe that's because it's long ( 2 hours!). Overall though, it is an excellent film. The cast list is full of big names, Kurt Russell, Courtney Cox-Arquette and Kevin Costner in starring rôles but more than adequately supported by Christian Slater, David Arquette and a host of other faces you recognize. Courtney Cox-Arquette is excellent as the small town country girl, Cybil, a single mother, looking for love ... Read the complete review

A film's performance at the US box office can sometimes determine it's cinematic status in other countries. This is probably why you're yet to see 3000 Miles To Graceland grace your local fleapit, chances are it never will. The film was released in the US in March and could only ring up close to $18 million in grosses, not exactly fantastic business when the film cost around $62 million to make. Of course as always the critics played a part by critically mauling it. There had also been rumours of on set fall outs between the stars and the final cut falling into the hands of the actors rather than the film-makers. Certainly some comments by Kurt Russell on the ... Read the complete review

I'd heard that this was a decent-enough low-braincell-requirement action film with a bit of an Elvis twist. Never one to say no to the former, and always happy to listen to a good soundtrack, I thought I may as well give it a go. And I'm glad I did -- this is a fresh, crisp and sparkling action adventure. Not especially intelligent or meaningful, but for what it is I'm happy to give it four stars. It's Elvis week in Vegas, and hordes of impersonators rush to the Riviera casino to jump on stage. Disguised as some of them, a bunch of criminals roll up with an armoury in their jackets and a lot of money waiting to get stolen. Kurt Russel and ... Read the complete review

3000 Miles to Graceland In what is becoming an increasingly rare occurrence, this was one opportunity for me to buy the Region 1 DVD of this movie before it hit any UK Cinemas, meaning I got to watch this film in the comfort of my own home before most others were able to see it. Scheduled for theatrical release on August 31st, 3000 Miles to Graceland (also known as 3kmtg herein) is a rough and tough thriller with a star studded cast, and enough action to keep even the biggest adrenaline junkies happy. With a slogan of "crime is king", 3kmtg has an obvious tie in with Elvis Presley, but its not as great as you would think, and the ... Read the complete review

We're a family of Elvis fans here, so it was no surprise when my husband cam home with this film one day. ##THE PLOT## It's the 2001 International Elvis Convention in Las Vegas and everyone is dressed as Elvis Presley. Some good some bad and no one really thinks too much about five more grown men dressed like their hero! (Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Christian Slater, David Arquette, Bokeem Woodbine)These five however have a different agenda to fulfil than all things Elvis. Walking away with $3.2 million, the men are eager to split the money and go their separate ways. At least Michael (Kurt Russell) has his heart set on a boat trip with ...
