When this movie came out the first thing I remember was that many critics were questioning the acting skills of Eminem.

This was his first movie and can be considered only in part autobiographical.

Eminem is Rabbit and Kim Basinger his mother (my friend joked that with Kim Basinger as a mother EVEN he, would be a great actor). In fact i liked both the movie and Eminem acting.

His mother lives in a van and is good for very little. She sleeps with a pal of Eminem and she has got problem with alchool and drinking.

Eminem slaves it off in a car factory (ehi, this is Detroit) and at night he goes to rap contexts with his friends. Tension will build up during the movie, he finds difficult to cope with the situation at home and his girlfriend. Plus he is a white guy trying to make it in the hip hop culture.

In the end there will be the final battle, will he make it?

I will not give away anything, but this is surely a film I recommend, a very enjoyable one, plus some good rapping!
