976-EVIL is one of those movies that you can file in the 'directed by someone who should have stuck to acting' cabinet. Kind of like what happened when Kickboxer's iconic villain Michel Qissi decided to try his hand at directing, and landed us two watchable, but ultimately rather standard chop-socky flicks in the form of Terminator Woman and Extreme Dragon, the man behind one of horror's greatest icons, Freddy Krueger himself, Mr.Robert Englund decided to take his directorial debut, and stay firmly rooted in the genre where he made his name as an actor.
