Dangey2009 Gangs of New York (DVD): ... of New York, released originally in 2002 by Martin Scorsese, I found to be a bit too brutal and violent in parts but still riveting to watch and very interesting. Priest Vallon who is played by Liam Neeson but his participation is short liv...

Rick_Views Terminator Salvation (DVD)
... liked the first two terminator films, wasn t impressed by the third but felt compelled to whatch this, I m glad I did! Doesn t compare to the brilliance of the first two films but is very good in the way the story is now set after the machines have taken over and we can finaly see more of the wasteland ruled by machines. Sotry could have been slightly better written but was overall good. Set before the T800 (Arnie Terminator) so the machines are primative and eaiser to kill, it shows John Connor on his journey to become leader of the risistance as well as the search for his father as a teenager. Its just great to finaly see what all the fuss is about. It strongly ties...

Rick_Views G.I. Joe - The Rise Of Cobra (DVD)
... film was great if you just want to be entertained and not worry about characters or plot too much because about 60% of the film is stuff exploading. All you need to know is who the good guys are and who the bad guys are and then it thrills from the word go. You don t even need to know the background to GI Joe to like this film, which living in the UK was good. Although if you are fimilar with the series then it does sneak in some catch phrases. The story is simple. Bad guys made kools weapons, sold them to good guys (so they looked good) then stole them to take over the world. The good guys need to stop them. Thats the main part which gives way to the action but the...

tuttgarm The Dark Knight (Blu-ray)
... DARK KNIGHT is the sequel to Batman Begins directed by Christopher Nolan and released in 2008. Set in the dark streets of Gotham City, Christian Bale, star of The Prestige, returns to play Batman in a movie that is better than Batman Begins. Batman s nemesis in the film is The Joker played by the Oscar winning and sadly deceased Heath Ledger, star of Brokeback Mountain. The Joker s evil stems from creating a sense of good against evil in the law abiding Gotham City. The opening scene involving a bank robbery to introduce The Joker is gold. The Joker wants Batman to expose himself or he ll continue doing bad deeds which leaves Batman with a moral diemma. He also has...
