So reluctantly, I joined her as Shah Rukh Khan s latest rom-com started. For those who are not overly familiar with Bollywood (you re not missing much!) Shah Rukh Khan (also known as SRK) is the biggest star from from that part of the world. He specialises in rom-coms, you could say he s kind of the Indian equivalent to Hugh Grant as they both pretty much play the same character in most of their movies! Bride And Prejudice (DVD) ... funny!! You are guaranteed to laugh over and over with this film. The bollywood version of Pride and Prejudice, is a romantic comedy you will enjoy. The film felt like ti went flat a few moments but lifted right back up again. Will Darcy arrives in India with his friend Raj, who immediately falls for Jia, and Will likes the look of Jia s sister, Lalita. Things go well between Jia and Raj who along with Raj s sister, Will and Lalita go way for a few days. During which Lalita and Will come to blows. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (DVD) ... more funky and much more relaxed and flirty. She blindly falls in love with him and so blind that she couldn t see that Raj looks like so much her husband. But the portrayal of two characters is so different that Raj becomes her dream man. And then it is about hiding relationships, lying, dreaming, running away etc etc. It is a typical Bollywood movie with a lot of masala. The best part of the movie was SRK in his ironed shirt tucked into his trousers with sports shoes and oiled hair and specs.
