Muppet Treasure Island (DVD) ... really like the way that the Muppets haven t just given up after the advent of CGI and funky special effects and cartoons took over as the most popular form of kids entertainment. I fondly remember Kermit and co. from when I was a kid, and seeing Jim Henson s characters slotted effortlessly into classic kids stories such as this one is a delight to see. Robert Louis Stevenson s Treasure Island is indeed a classic, not usually one laced with comedy, but then this is the muppets, so what did you expect? High School Musical 3 (DVD) ... daughter was given this as a christmas present - she s a big fan of all the HSM films . I m sadly not as much of a fan, but we settled down to watch this together . The film still has the same main cast as the last two films - Loverbirds Troy and Gabriella, twins Ryan and Sharpay (who has a huge crush on Troy) and friends Chad, Taylor, and Kelsi. G-Force (DVD) ... banged on at me since first seeing the ads, I finally gave in and watched G-Force with my son. I was fearful that the ads would provide the majority of the laughs, although an impressive voice cast lineup and some good reviews gave me hope that I would be wrong. G-Force is basically a film about special forces trained guinea pigs who are hot on the case of preventing worldwide electronic domination from Leonard Saber, who has managed to spread all of his products in various homes across the globe, ready to activate them with satellite control and control the human race (cue evil laughs....).
