Orphan (DVD) ... is a great 2009 horror movie that will have you either on the edge of your seat or hiding behind a cushion. The story is set around the Coleman family who have had a hard time of it lately. Their marraige is not perfect Kate has had a drink problem and has also lost her job as a result, there was a recent accident involving the couples young daughter Max which was the result of Kates drink problem. Carry On Screaming! (DVD) ... I say it this is one of the more bizarre movies in the already quite whacky British comedy series that is Carry On. From back in 1966, Carry on Screaming tells the tale of an evil Dr who turns beautiful women into manequins. This is a good film. It s a send up of hammer horror, and has touches of Frankenstein and Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde in it that are a pleasure to watch. In terms of plot, it s whacky and non-sensical humour, full to the brim of risque sexual joking. It s a decent send up of the genre it mimicks, and fans of the oldschool Dracula type films will enjoy the references.
