... i was younger, i used to be a really big Spice Girls fan. I remember when this film came out in the cinema that i really wanted to see it but never quite got round to it. The dvd can be obtained for around £10-£15 depending where you look, amazon apear to have the best deal at date of under £6. The dvd was made in 2002 and is from the guns, god and government world tour. I saw Marilyn Manson in concert during this tour and again since and this dvd brought back some memories. The main bulk of the dvd consiss of manson performing some of his best songs in concert style. There are extracts from various shows, which have been cross cut very effectivley. 8 Mile (DVD) ... have to say from the outset that I like Eminem and his music, so it s probably no great surprise that I like this film as well. However I did try to watch this film as a work in its own right, all allegiances aside. Eminem is very successful as a musician, so can he make it on screen? I think he can. This film follows a fictional character Rabbit trying to get somewhere with rapping in Detroit, similar to Eminem s own experiences. I think this film might have been better received by the critics if it wasn t for the hype beforehand.
