Moulin Rouge! (DVD) ... this is the best film baz lurhmann has created so far. Cinematically the film is genius with shots and scenes which are incredible to watch. The costumes are also fantastic and the music used in the film is probably what makes it so entertaining for the audience and one of the aspects of the film which i enjoyed the most. However, what also makes this film so enjoyable to watch is the relationship between the two main characters played by nicole kidman and ewan mcgregor who really make you fall in love with the film. Mamma Mia! (DVD) ... was a big fan of Abba in my younger days and still liked the songs so was really pleased when I heard that someone had made a musical out of their songs. I really wanted to see the show but never managed to get there so when they said they were making the musical into a film I was really excited. The film didnt disappoint me. It was fun, fun, fun from the start to finish and made me want to see it again. The story was thought up by Catherine Johnson, she had been thinking about the words to the songs and made them up into the musical by developing characters and building up this bundle of fun. Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (DVD) ... Brides for Seven brothers is a whirl of colour, singing and dancing, which will not disappoint any fan of classsic musicals. The fantastic Howard Keel plays Adam, the eldest of 7 brothers who live as rural Woodsmen. He goes to town and comes back with a wife, Milly, who is surprised to find her marital home contains 6 more men than she bargained for!
