Advantages: good film

Disadvantages: too long

In one of the last inputs to a movie the late great Stanley Kubrick will make, AI hits out UK cinema screens some months after its cinematic realse in the United Stated. Finished by Speilberg, AI is the story of David (Osment i.e. the kid out of the sixth sense), a robot boy who has been built to love whoever it imprints upon.
When a family tragically lose their son (frozen in ice due to a fatal illness), he is adopted but his natural mother initially struggles to come to love the boy.
He is cast out into the cruel world where he meets up with Gigolo Joe (Law), a runaway robot lover, and together they dodge the law and the Flesh Fair (where robots are tortured for entertainment) as David searches for a way to make his Mummy love him.
AI is certainly original and shows great vision. Lasting for nearly two and a half hours it may drag a bit for some, but it is a work of art in the movie world, and although some will not love this film, many will, and I certainly did.
AI is a very good movie that you should go see now!
