After watching the trailer of this movie "accidentally" while surfing the internet - it was asking to be watched. It's based on the best selling novel by Nicholas Sparks. The movie embarks on a journey of Jamie a Christian girl who has an overprotective father who has a secret she hides from everyone and keeps everyone a certain distance - yet helps everyone. Landon - the known trouble maker - wants nothing to do with Jamie; until he needs help with the school drama play he is forced to participate in. Jamie warns Landon she will be more than pleased to help him - but on one condition "you must promise not to fall in love with ... Read the complete review

Months I had been waiting. Actually I think it had been a year, well I can’t really remember. What am I talking about then? Well ever since I saw a trailer for the movie a walk to remember I’d wanted to see it. I’d almost purchased it on DVD but decided to wait a few more weeks to see it on the big screen. Anyway my mate (who would like to remain anonymous) we’ll call her Dorothy, had just seen it the first day it came out and she thoroughly enjoyed it and recommended I see it and she also happened to mention that…well the complete ending, I couldn’t believe she ruined it for me in a matter of seconds, what is wrong with you Dorothy?! ... This film is one of the best i have ever seen when i first seen this me and my brother watched it on sky movies. I remember being so bored and for some reason assuming this film wouldn't be that great. I can honestly say i have never been more wrong, i have seen this film many times since and it still moves me to tears every time. I am not a weepy person, i don't cry easily at films but i think even if you are the toughest person who never cry's at films, you will be emotional once you have have seen this. Its a extremely moving film and very thought provoking too. It really does get you thinking about life and sends a overwhelming message in my opinion it ... Read the complete review

A Walk to Remember is a 2002 romantic drama based on the novel of Nicholas Sparks. It is a charmingly romantic and completely true to its tagline of not being "just another teen movie." Along with The Notebook (yet another book by Nicholas Sparks which has been made into a movie), I personally consider these two movies the most romantic films of all times A Walk to Remember quite certainly holds which is quite unique to its category. The romantic atmosphere is certainly present from start to end, and it is enhanced by the cozy location of North Carolina. The plot is about two very different high school students: Landon (Shane West) is the bad ... Read the complete review

Landon, a typical high school 'popular' boy full of charm and cheek and leader of the gang is out one night with his posse, they are about to perform some sort of initiation process for another lad from their school. This process however goes badly wrong resulting in the lad being severely hurt, and Landon being Landon at this point left him be, hurt and unable to move after jumping into shallow water from a disturbing height. Jaime, is again a typical character, an attractive, yet geeky girl who has lived in the same sweater since the day she was born apparently. Always being insulted by her school peers, especially Landon and his so called ... Read the complete review
