About Last Night is an adaptation of David Mamet's 1974 play Sexual Perversity in Chicago. If you know anything about David Mamet, who most successfully wrote the brilliant film Glengarry Glen Ross, then you'll know that he has a biting, cynical sense of humour, and is quite fond of a bit of bad language here and there. This is unmistakably toned down from Mamet at his most unrestrained, but it's still a funny and entertaining film that benefits from Mamet's superb ear for dialogue. About Last Night was pretty much based on David Mamet's stage play "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" which makes it sound pretty wild (it's not really)! Apparently they couldn't use the same title for the film due to the word "Perversity". It's a film worth watching if you like 80s movies with humor and lots of drama. PLOT TEASER Danny (Lowe) and Debbie (Moore) meet in a bar one night, one thing leads to another and they have a one-night stand.
