n About Schmidt, Jack Nicholson plays Warren Schmidt, a man in his sixites who is made redudant, made to breave the passing away of his wife and has to come to terms with his daughter marrying a man he does not like - this becomes the story of a man and his life of struggle.

His life at the beginning is quite normal and ordinary. Untill he becomes sad he doesn't often show it but he is. Following on from the sequence of bad events in his life he decides to try and make his daughter see sense that marrying the man she wants to marry is not good, truely just because he doesn't think he is good enough for her. Good performances also follow from supporting cast Kathy Bates etc. They give good performences as does Jack Nicholson.

The film won an oscar, for Jack Nicholson as best Actor - this to me seemed deserved. Jack Nicholson plays an excellent act, his potryal seems genuine and real. The supporting cast go along with the story. The story is simplistic but good. This film is largely raved about, and you may not want to give it a try but i do recommend watching it. The plot is very good.

This is a comedy and drama film. This is a good film. The acting is very good, the plot is very simplistic but real and gripping. I like the acting by all actors they seem convicing. Worth Watching, Very good.
