Nico Toscani (Steven Seagal) is a police officer in Chicago and also a martial arts expert, he is trustworthy and ever so loyal to his wife Sara (Sharon Stone). When Nico and his partner Jax (Pam Grier) are put on a case involving prolific drug dealing, the two good friends think that it will be a simple open and shut case but when everyone that Nico arrests is set free and his local church is blown up things start to become a little more complicated. Admittedly it's been a while since I saw this, but I'll do my best to recollect my thoughts on the film! It stars Cynthia Rothrock and Yeung Biao (mates of one Jackie Chan). The story is a little hazy for me, but I think Rothrock plays a cop and Biao plays a lawyer. Both of them team up to crakc a drugs ring (forgive me if I'm wrong - I think that plot may have been in Above the Law 2, not sure) To be honest the plot isn't that important here, what takes centre stage are the awesome fight scenes - they are plenty here to keep martial arts fans happy and they are all very, very cool!
