Advantages: Funny, good story & touching

Disadvantages: Could have had a short 'what happened next' in the credits for the characters

Accepted was one of those films that I stumbled across, I think it was on TV one night and nothing else was on - as is the case most Sunday's.

I had recently watched Dodgeball and recognised Justin Long's name from there and thought, well he seems quite funny - lets give it a whirl.

A group of friends are reaching the end of their high school days and are faced with that akward American conversation with your Dad of "Er, yeah I didn't get into college...".

But what if they could be accepted into college anywhere, at any cost...so, Bartleby (Long) turns to his long time friend Sherman (Jonah Hill) - who has been accepted into one of the best colleges around - and convinces him it's a good idea to set-up a website for a fake college to fool their parents into believing they have been accepted.

Sherman is very good with compuers - a little too good it turns out as not only does he make the website believable, he makes it functional.

So, with a deserted mental institue as their college, the name of South Harmon Institue of Technology (Yes, S.H.I.T College), unwanted students who couldn't get in anywhere else and around $1m in admission funds - what are they going to do. Well ask yourself - what would you do?

It is a brilliant story of how a crazy idea turns into reality and how supposed 'undesirable students' are faced with the fact they have a lot of people's futures in their hands - and they have to do something about it. It also has that feel good feeling to it throughout - not only is it an incredibly funny film but I alse feel it is quite a touching film in the way of addressing colleges and their 'idea of perfection' and why it doesn't always mean they're right.

It's full of a few twists and turns and ups and downs as any movie is, but it is one that is not only 'easy watching' but is one you can watch over and over again.

It's definately worth a watch as for me, not only did it make me laugh it also made me emphasise with the characters of the film and it goes to show what a little work can help you achieve, especially if you're all working as a team.

Summary: Good film - well worth owning
