When I was a kid there were a few films I would watch over and over again. One of those films was the original Ace Ventura, a movie that introduced me to Jim Carrey at his funniest. I recently caught it again on TV and it reminded me just how funny, or I suppose stupid it actually was. Laughing keeps you busy. I remember seeing "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" near the time it came out and thinking it was one of the most hilarious films ever, so when it was on television last week I decided to watch it. Afterwards I realised that I do not have the same sense of humour that I had when I was twelve. This asides there is still plenty to like about "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective". It is considered to be the film that launched Jim Carrey into a star and sets the scene for his many other movie roles to come.
