A strange film, this one. It’s basically a comedy about a detective who specialises in finding pets. It’s a kids’ film really, but most of the humour is on an adult level and makes many references to other films which kids would probably not have seen.

Jim Carey is predictable as himself and Sean Young should not have accepted this role. She is good in the film but the film is an embarrassing blot on her CV.

Real slapstick comedy, I wouldn’t really recommend this film to anyone. It is puerile.
