Ken Loach is infamous for presenting a gritty vision of modern day Britain. In Ae Fond Kiss, he challenges the boundaries of a Muslim family living in Glasgow, presenting both their fear from racism and their apathy towards integrating into a Western Society. And whilst Loach's approach is bang on, this entertaining film suffers from a lack of engaging performances. Casim Khan is a British born muslim who has been promised to a bride in India. However, he falls in love with his youngest sister's music teacher Roisin.
