Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: too short, no sequel, i have not seen one like it
Akira is hands down one of the best movies of all time, not just in anime. The script is suberb. The voice translation is one of the best I have seen. The animation might but outdated. But there is still no other kind of animation out there today that would do the movie justice. Everything about this movie was on point. I guarentee if you buy this movie you will want to see it over and over, and everytime you do watch it, you will learn something new. I would be here all night writing to you about why you should get Akira, but one thing is for sure, you wont regret getting it...all this is on the VHS format, imagine on the DVD format, hundreds times better!!!
GET THE MOVIE, well thats my opinion!

- 08/07/02 Its a funny thing when we first find this website, seems real easy to just key a few words, but then you find you don't get rated highly. So you amend your op, or create a new one. Pretty soon you find that you are reviewing products, and making friends and it all gets very addictive.
