Firstly let me start by saying that I have never been a fan of Alan Carr when it comes to presenting and decided to give this show a shot after seeing it online for £3 as I felt it would be worth a chance and I must say that I am very glad that I did.
Alan gives an assured stand up performance where he focuses on stories based around his life and experiences and thankfully not just on his current career highs he is experiencing.
Fortunately Alan has had a very interesting life and thanks to his relationship with his mum and dad being something he does not shy away from he is able to open up and laugh about his upbrining and stories from his youth where many would not be willing or able to do this.
The show is very well put together and has no lull but this whilst great for the laughs does mean that it can feel like the show is over very quickly but it is in line with most other mainstream comedy stand up shows.
For me the show is very funny and Alan manages to remain funny and charming rather than annoy (something I find he can often do). Well worth a watch and one for both the men and the ladies so perfect for a laugh with your partner cuddled up on the sofa and with it available for such a great price is an excellent stocking filler for Christmas.
