Advantages: Another great alien film worth a watch

Disadvantages: killing off the aliens survivors seems a waste

Once again the Alien series fails to disappoint with the third installment Alien 3. Alien 3 picks of shortly after the events of Aliens, Ripley on board a ship with her fellow survivors, soon crashes into a planet designed only to harbor the galaxies nastiest criminals in a prison colony. The cause of the crash soon becomes apparent that the alien beast they thought they had left behind is in fact well and truly alive and stranded on a planet with no weapons due to security reasons Ripley must once again overcome all the struggles and battle the impossible. The film conjurers up a nice change from the previous installment by creating a nice struggle of how to beat the unbeatable with almost nothing but basic equipment and clever thinking at their disposal. Once again the Alien series shines again as one of the top Sci-Fi and horror series to date taking viewers through another struggle between Ripley and the Alien beast.

Summary: Another solid film well worth a view
