Advantages: Perfect menu theme, Superior digital quality, New amosphere

Disadvantages: Can't think of, Maybe no extra effects

I was amazed!Simply amazed! When I bought the Alien DVD I was really not sure what the quality is going to be like.I must admit I became spoiled by DVD quality, even within the short life of it's species and any movie with an inferior picture quality is bound to disapoint me and spoil my experience of watching it. But the transition of Alien into a digital format was prfect. You even sometimes forget how the movie is old! And boy, did they pick an excellent menu theme! Some sort of a ship's powercore, all in blue, scary noise aroud ... perfect. You've got all that one'd need there. Selections, perfect trailers that I wasn't able to see (since by the date of it's release it'd be a disaster for my fragile little mind at that time if I've watched it :-), data about the crew ... it really gets you back on track. YOu think you've seen Alien so many times it can't surprise you anymore? Well explore the DVD a little before you start watching and then tell me once again! This movie is not going to become one of the buy,see-once-and-become-a-dust-attractor DVDs in your collection. Trust me on that one ...

Good first op but you should concentrate on the DVD as well as the film. Read Myk's ops he's good at that kind of thing, I'll blow his trumpet for him :) Keep it up

Sure, I'm with wampyrii - DVD opinions should contain more information about the disc's features. How good is the picture/audio transfer? How interesting are the extras? Did you find Ridley Scott's voice as monotonous as I did? :) How good is the presentation?

If you update your opinion, let me know, and I'll rerate.
