Its hard to believe that its now over twenty years since we first entered the dark world of "Alien". The Alien legacy is a fine five DVD disc box set. All four films of the Alien series are included each THX mastered and complete with five point one digital sound. All are enhanced for 16.9 television. In effect this means that the disc has been encoded to make the most of modern high tec television sets, with a result that the films picture resolution is dramatically increased. Also of note is the fact that the special edition of Aliens (with over 17 minutes of restored footage)is available in widescreen for the first time ever. ... Read the complete review

If, like me, you are a fan of the Alien legacy then you may have already purchased the video trilogy (the one in the rather splendid face-hugger case) and you may have even progressed onto buying the odd DVD version of the films. Now comes the ultimate (and probably) final release of arguably the finest Sci-Fi/Horror films ever made. In case you have no idea what the fuss is all about, the story began in the late seventies when Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and a team went deep into space only to stumble across an incredible alien species. As some of you may know, I have already reviewed each DVD release of the Alien Movies (if you want to read each in-depth review of the movies, why not click on my profile page for more information?) I enjoy all of the movies for the most-part. Yes, the first movie is the stand out one of the four, but the others are all certainly highly watch able. As a fan of the movies, I was obviously more than pleased when all four films were released in a special edition box set – but what do you get for your money? Well for a start you receive Alien, Aliens, Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection. These DVD’s are all identical to the single disc versions you may ... Read the complete review

If you are a fan of the alien films, then this is the set for you. Containing all the Alien films, plus a special extra DVD featuring plenty of extras in the way of documentaries etc. this box set has the lot for fans of the series, and you will not be disappointed. I bought this set having never seen any of the alien films, and have to say I loved them all, especially the third, but this set has everything fans of the Alien fans could want. In addition to this, the sets are limited in quantity, and each set comes with their own certificate of authenticity, another nice tough that makes this an even more essential purchase! As for the films themselves, they ... Read the complete review

This is a God send to all Alien fans. It is packed full of special features and interesting additions. It also features the directors cut of Aliens which is really interesting for any fan who have only seen the general release version. The best disc in the set is Alien, the first Alien film. This contains an extra disc with masses of information about the creation of such a masterpiece. What is great about the box set is that it gives you an excuse to be able to sit back and watch all four films, and their indivdual extras all day and I guarantee you, you won't be bored. This is one of the best DVD's around and is unmissable! ... Read the complete review
