High above Earth, an alien craft speeds its way towards a distant planet. On board, an advanced race of warriors guides the ship towards its destination when an unwanted intruder brings about havoc. Most fans expectations were high for this movie with the way the previous one ended and this let us down big time! Apart from a PredAlien Queen & the whip weapon there is nothing new in this film. Its also very lazy because it borrows very heavily from the plots of Aliens, Predator, Resident Evil & The Return of the Living Dead. We start where the last film left off with the Predalien chest-buster which causes the ship to crash, all the Predators on board are killed by the Predalien. As a fan of both the franchises that merged to form Aliens Vs. Predator, you would think I would be used to disappointment by now. Both individually and combined the franchises have had some thoroughly awful merchandise released, hell you could probably write a book on the amount of dreadful videogame tie-ins alone. Yet nothing prepared me for the low blow that was the rather dreadful eventual Alien Vs. Predator movie. Perhaps because it was the portrayal of the crossover I most wanted to succeed, but how utterly disappointing Paul 'Resident Evil' Anderson's movie was is a blow I thought the franchise simply couldn't recover from.
