If you decide that it's too cold or wet to go to the cinema, if you choose to stay in and miss one mediocre slasher flick with no proper ending this winter - make it " All The Boys Love Mandy Lane". The film opens with our first glimpse of Mandy Lane (Amber Heard); a classic 'All American' high school princess. Within moments, not only is she beautiful, but the film implies a caring side when she accepts an invitation to a popular party only on the basis that her best friend, the geeky Emmet can come with her. And what should happen at that party? An event which will impact on the lives of all of those present and cast Emmet out into the ... Read the complete review

When I first heard about the film 'All The Boys Love Mandy Lane' I was actually greatly excited. Having then seen trailer on TV for the film the other week I decided that I just had to go and see the film for myself as soon as possible. It came out on February 15th and therefore I was there waiting at the door, greatly enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing this film I had been longing to watch. note: also appears on The Student Room All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is a strange horror film that blends classic horror tropes with a few new ideas, and whilst this is by no means a great horror film, that smattering creates a strange melting pot that is somewhat refreshing given the recent state of American horror films, whilst are mostly remakes of foreign films, or rehashed slasher films where fleets of dumb, irritating teenagers get perfunctorily offed in myriad ridiculous ways. Mandy Lane (Amber Heard) is invited to a party where lots of drinking and partying is going, but soon enough, things turn sour as the kids start getting offed. However, ... Read the complete review

There's something about Mandy Lane. Well, that's what all the teenaged girl's male school friends seem to think. Still a virgin, Mandy is everything they fantasise about and the demure girl seems to be the subject of nearly every conversation that takes place all summer. When one of the male students organises a get-together at his parents ranch, the guest list is small and selective, but all eyes are on Mandy Lane. When she finally agrees to come along, the three male partygoers can barely contain their excitement; could this be the weekend that one of them gets the girl? It looks as though the next 24 hours could be pretty memorable. The only question is - ... Read the complete review
