Advantages: None!

Disadvantages: Lots of stolen ideas done worse than the originals

Christian Slater must have been strapped for cash to get involved in this pile of rubbish or really desperate for the work. Or he's got a bleeding awful agent. I've played Alone In The Dark (a long time ago on the original Playstation, I can't claim to remember much of it) but the bits I do remember aren't anything like the plot, story or setting of this film.

Christian Slater plays Carnby who disappeared as a child from an orphanage with all his other fellow orphans then came back again. (It's not much of an idea but its a pretty rubbish idea, eh?) Basically this film has stolen ideas from Aliens and done them incredibly badly.

People who have symbiotic creatures inside them which make them super fast and super powerful, theres an original idea right there - NOT! The film ends with them discovering all the missing orphans were implanted with symbiont's to try and open some doorway for some reason (the plot is WAY too complex to follow even with the explanatory trail at the start), and the ending is rubbish - making you think everyone on earth has been taken.

Something else thats been done before as well.

Summary: Symbiots try to take over Earth using orphans!
