To answer the question to the title, this will be if you watch it. When i started to watch it for the first time about 3 months ago, i realised there was something about it which intrigued me so much that i knew i would probably wear out the video player!

It tells the story in great detail of Lester (Kevin Spacey), a husband and father who decides to change his life, but the more happier he becomes, the freer he gets.

He loses his job, his marriage to his wife (Annette Bening) slowly deteriorates and his daughter Jane (Thora Birch) takes comfort with her newfound love, in the form of the boy next door.

He takes up smoking (drugs), starts to working out and visiting the gym, and finds an attraction towards his daughter’s vain friend Angela (Mena Suvari) but all is not as it seems.

Lester learns that the ultimate freedom comes with the ultimate price.

The masterpiece was written by Alan Ball, and directed by Sam Mandes.

Who'd have thought that a film whose pivotal point is a dancing plastic bag would have been embraced and understood as it has been?

It has achieved 5 Oscars (including best picture) and 6 Bafta awards (including best film).
