Advantages: A good start to a good selection of films.
Disadvantages: Sequels of 4, 5 and 6, ruin this films reputation.
American Pie, the first of the series and the best of the series. Hilarious!!
Jim(Jason Biggs), Finch(Eddie Kaye Thomas), Kevin(Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Oz(Chris Klein) are four ordinary guys each one still being a virgin, howevery they are determined to lose their virginity before they head off for college.
With some brilliant jokes, and some well written witty lines, theres always going to be a laugh here for teenagers.
The main character is Jim, the silly and slightly geeky friend, who literally "blows" his chances with the girl of his dreams and is the laughing stock of the school.
Finch is the worrier and Kevin has a girlfriend, but shes not ready yet, and this annoys Kevin.
Oz is the jock, and is the sensitive guy who tries to take a different approach.
A brilliant comedy, based around sex and the ups and downs of been a high school graduate, with two good sequels however these films may not be appealing to everyone and some people may not be too into this.
Can be picked up for less than £5 and bought with the other American pie films for around £15, i wouldnt look at any of the other American pie films after the Wedding as characters change and the storys are rubbish.
Summary: A good comedy for the younger generations.
